Dr. Alon Borenstein completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) degree in 2012 at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, receiving the Kaufman Award for Outstanding DMD Thesis. After practicing general dentistry for two years, he joined the University of Toronto and completed a Master’s specialty degree (MSc) in Periodontics in 2018. He is a clinical and academic instructor in University of Toronto since 2018.
Dr. Borenstein published and co-authored articles on the pathophysiology and treatment of periodontal disease in high impact professional journals and presented in the Research Forum of the American Association of Periodontics. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists in Canada (FRCDC), and an active member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, the Ontario Society of Periodontists, the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, and the Hamilton Academy of Dentistry.
Dr. Borenstein is committed to excellent personalized comprehensive care. He believes in patient-centered treatment, utilizing the most up to date surgical techniques to deliver effective, individual, and thorough periodontal treatment that meets and exceeds the expectations of both patient and dentist. He is experienced in managing patients’ anxiety before, during, and after treatment. If required he is trained and certified for the administration of conscious IV sedation to ensure a stress-free appointment.
